Existing Art
Often existing art is leveraged to create new marketing assets. The following guide identifies the type of art files designers need.
Key Visuals
File Format: .psd, .ai, .eps
.psd Files are Adobe Photoshop Files
When providing .psd files its essential they are layered and editable vs flat, and include all associated linked files (if any).
.indd files are Adobe InDesign Files
While they're more commonly associated with print, they can be leveraged for web.
When providing .indd files it is VERY important to include their associated link files, else they will likely be unusable
.ai and .eps files are Adobe Illustrator Files
While they're more commonly associated with print, they can be leveraged for web.
When providing .ai files it is VERY important to include their associated link files, else they will likely be unusable.
Lifestyle Images
As long as they are large, high-res images either .jpeg or .tiff formats will work.
Logo / Icons
File Format: .eps or .ai
Both are vector-based Adobe Illustrator files.
Vector-based means these are high resolution and completely scalable graphics, for use in any application.
Fonts*
File Format: .ttf or .otf
Note: desktop vs web versions are needed
Product Images
File Format: .jpegs or .tiffs
.tiffs from DAM are preferred, as they come with clipping paths. Though as long as they are large, high-res images either .jpeg or .tiff format will work.
Lifestyle Images*
File Format: .jpegs or .tiffs
As long as they are large, high-res images either .jpeg or .tiff formats will work.
GIFs
File Format: .gif or .psd
If edits or resizing is required, providing the original .psd layered files may be needed.
Video
File Format: .mp4, .mov .psd .aep .fcpx
If edits or resizing is required providing the original .psd/.aep/.fcpx working files may be needed.
